Hello, this is Elaine Brewer here. Some of you may have seen a white van around with the words "Seasons & Celebrations " and a decal of flowers on the sides... Well, that's me! I live in Golberdon and have done since birth. My love of flowers and working with them gave me the desire to set up my own business and work from home.
After quite a traumatic time in my life I completed a vocational course in flower arranging. This was followed by two more shorter courses specializing in "Christmas & Wedding Designs". I then felt ready to take on some private work.
A break of a couple of years was followed by two examination courses. In the first year, "Floristry Art and Design" meant working on arrangements, bouquets and funeral tributes, "Continental and Contemporary" plus "Traditional English" styles. After passing my exam I became a qualified florist, with a City & Guilds certificate in Floristry. The following year I completed a year of "Wedding " work from Buttonholes to Bouquets, more course work, and another certificate followed.
All flower are fresh. I only use locally sourced flowers, foliage and other materials including Fairtrade products where possible
